Brief Answer:
Can be due to scarring.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The persistent pain after a hip repair can be due to a persistent inflammation and muscle stiffness or a scarring after the surgery. The exact cause can be detected after a CT or MRI scan. Till then doing a physiotherapy can help in increasing the muscle tone.
I hope this answers your query.
