Question : I took 20mg of prednisone and I got hoarse. is that an usual side effect? also I tend to urinate a lot when I take it. I don't take very often just when my osteoarthritis in my knees and back is really hurting. I take Ultram 50mg prn and diclofenac 75 mg bid.

Hoarseness and increased urination are documented side effects of prednisolone. Unless they become so problematic, there is no reason to worry about them. More so, you only use prednisolone once in a while and that shouldn't constitute major hindrance to taking this drug.
