Brief Answer:
needs NCV test

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I am Dr Mittal
I think I will be able to help you.

Please dont feel embarassed. Its an ailment and needs to be treated.
This is called as neuropathy, mostly small fiber neuropathy.
We will have to find out why you have it- diabetes? thyroids? steroids? some other medicine??

I will suggest a Nerve Conduction Study test to confirm my diagnoses. If it is actually this, then you can try medicines like pregabalin, gabapentin and it may help you.

Please feel free to contact us for more information
Best of luck

I was hit by a car and have been in hospital for 3 weeks after an operation.. I am now at home trying to get better but I cannot walk yet and suffering from post traumatic shock. I am worried about everything. cannot sleep, have no appetite and losing weight. It is driving me mad. The pain in bed plus not being able to sleep makes that extra sensitivity intolerable. Do you think my problem is a deep depression? I am also taking a lot of medication. Please advice

Brief Answer:
Depression is a definitive possibility

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your response
Depression is a definitive possibility
Specially in view of the fact that you are still getting to learn to walk again
But worrying will only make matters worse
I know its easier said than done

However, by the same count, there is a possibility that the nerve damage as a result may have been causing you the burning.
I will stick to what I said- a NCV needs to be done, whereafter medications may be added.

Best of luck
