Question : They think I may have indiffrent teratoma in my preortic lympth nides, I am 11 years clear of testicular cancer, this was found by mistake. Could removing the nodes cure it?
Brief Answer:
sure, its curable
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Testicular cancer patients sometimes relapse as immature teratoma. Usually it is localized and serum tumor markers are normal. If these are high then probably malignant disease is also present.
Otherwise surgery should cure it. If on the final biopsy malignant disease is found then chemo will be required.
Hope this helps. I will be available to answer further follow up queries, if any.
