Question : Hi for the last 2 weeks have had to urinate during the day about every 40 min. Don't think it'd a prostate problem maybe an overactive bladder. I am travelling in a couple of days is there anything that you would recommend to help slow this down.
Don't think it's an infection either

Detailed Answer:
thanks for sending the question.
I think this is something that you should investigate as soon as possible. Your doctor can perform some quick laboratory tests to make sure there is no infection and to also see if there's some type of metabolic abnormality.
One thing that can sometimes cause increased frequency of urination is elevated blood sugar or diabetes. Again this is something your doctor can assess very quickly with a blood test.
I think rather than worrying how to treat this I would concentrate more on finding out what is causing the problem. For this reason I would recommend a make an appointment with your primary care doctor as soon as you can.
Sincerely,
