Brief Answer:
risk of high blood pressure

Detailed Answer:
Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
Your anxiety is valid.
Please don't worry too much .
the increased resistance to blood flow means that there is high probability that as pregnancy progresses the natural increase in blood to growing baby will be less than other pregnancy.
It is not confirming anything.
You just will need higher scrutiny in your pregnancy compared to others.
There is a slightly higher chance that you may have higher blood pressure and decrease in fetal growth.

Please go for BP checkup twice a month.
Take following medication
ARGIPREG XXXXXXX once a day
Tab ecospirin 75 mg once a day
Hermin forte twice a day.
I have noticed good results with these drugs in similar patients.
Please write back or call if you have further queries for detailed discussion.

Thank you doctor for your response...My gynac has recommended following medicines.... Is it ok?
Ecosprin 75 once a day..
Dexorange once a day
Calcimax forte once a day..
Duplalac for constipation
Is these ok..should I start AGRIPREG XXXXXXX also?

Also what would decrease in fetal growth mean? Is it that baby weight can be lesser. Or does it mean anything less for baby? Is this a common problem or is it found in some cases only?

Brief Answer:
detailed answer below

Detailed Answer:
Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
Increased blood pressure in pregnancy is as common as 8-10% of all pregnancy especially in first pregnancy.
When we mean growthis less we are saying only regarding weight and not Brain growth. most low birth weight babies recover weight after birth .
Argipreg has arginine that increases blood supply to growth of fetus.
In my clinical experience I have used this extensively and had good results.
please continue all drugs that you are prescribed. Also always lie in lateral position.
Please note that not all mothers with high BP have low birth weight babies. Only a few with severe hypertension have low weight babies.
Please discuss with your doctor before staring any medicine.
Thanks
Dr Bhagyashree
