Question: I have herpes I didn't have sex for a yr an when I did it hurt an now I have a discharge have had it for about 2 wks does not itch but now there's a smell is this do to not having sex for a yr or the herpes?

It does not smell fishy I am 55 so I am NOT on birth control I do not take any kind of medication and I am NOT a diabetic
What should I do?

Most probably due to fungal infection.

Hello ma'am,
Sorry for the delay in my response.
I am apologize for it.
It can be most probably due to fungal infection.
Vaginal swab culture and sensitivity should be done to rule out the causative organism.
You can use clingen vaginal tablet daily for 6-7 days.
Take fluconazole 150 mg once weekly.
Keep the area dry and clean, wear loose fitting cotton undergarments, take healthy and nutritious diet, avoid douche, avoid use of perfumes soap.
