Question : I'm 34 year old overweight female. I've been experiencing chest heaviness, feels more like pressure on my lungs. along with heart palpitations/fluttering and lightheadness so bad it feels like I'm going to pass out. It feels like I could die at any moment. what could it be? what tests should I have done?

I have gone through your query. Hypothyroidism can be suspected in your case. ECG should be done initially to rule out cardiac problems to be on safe side. Thyroid profile blood test should be done to rule out hypothyroidism. Lipid profile test also should be done.

In case of hypothyroidism taking thyroxine supplements will help you to normalize this.
