Question : My husband has indentations on his knee cap. They appeared out of the blues. He has not leaned on anything to make them. What could cause this?

Brief Answer:
Can be tendonitis or osteoporosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The indentation on the knee cap can be due to a recurrent injury to the area or tendonitis or osteoporosis. It is best to get an X-ray of the area done to find out if it is related to a bone pathology. A direct examination is needed for proper diagnosis. Do consult your orthopedician for the same.
I hope this answers your query.
