What Causes Inner Ear Canal Problems Along With Seborrheic Dermatitis?

default
Posted on Mon, 15 Jun 2015
Question: I had protected sex with female escorts in the past and for all of them save one I was tested and they all came back negative a year after most of them. I had a relapse last XXXXXXX and again had protected sex and since then I have had an inner ear canal issue that has been treated since January with steroids but has not gone away. Also, February of last year while in the hospital my vitamin D3 was found to be very low which has me wondering if my last HIV test may have been wrong. I also have a problem with seborrheic dermatitis but dandruff has always been a problem with me and it is always hygiene related. Still I am worried sick about taking another HIV test.

Brief Answer:
repeat the test

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXX, welcome to HCM and thanks for choosing us.

I understand your concerns about your health issues and concerns about possible HIV infection. Firstly, your symptoms do not indicate HIV infection as inner ear issue and dandruff are not the common problems with HIV. Morever you had protected sex, so have faith in the protection you have used. Finally your test reports have also been negative.

Inner ear issues are always difficult to treat , so it may take longer time. Dandruff, again is a chronic fungal infection. You need to use anti dandruff shampoo for longer duration like one or two months to observe any relief.

However it is always good to do regular screening for HIV if you indulge in unsafe sexual practice even with full protection (if you can't stop yourself). So do a test for HIV but not because you have these symptoms but you have been involving in sex.

I hope my reply will help you. Please feel free to contact us for more information and follow up queries. I wish you good health. Thanks
