Question : I felt fine when I woke up at 5:45. Went to the bathroom felt pain as in a UTI. PAIN IS CONTINUING but nfor the past hour or more I have pain in abdomen left of belly button. Pretty painful. Wondering what to do. I'm out of town

I've had several bowel movements. Now it is very "sandy"

Thanks for query .
Pain in abdomen on left side of umbilicus with several bowel movements is mostly due to Acute Gastroenteritis .

Please get your stool examined .

Start taking combination of antibiotic Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole along with Pantaprozole twice daily.

Continue taking Lomotil twice daily .

If pain is severe you can take anti spamodic drug like Spasmo proxyvon twice daily.

Have a fat free soft diet rich in curd ,buttermilk .

Take 4-5 Bananas in 24 hours

Ensure to drink more water to keep yourself hydrated .
