Question : I have a Punched in the Stomach feeling. It has been chronic over the years but leaves me gasping for

Need an UGIE for further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam.

I understand your concern.

Chronic symptoms in your case could result from either acid reflux disease or peptic ulceration.

Both these disorders are very much prevalent and are also known to cause breathing difficulty occasionally.

To evaluate these I advise you to have a baseline Flexible Upper Gastrointestinal endoscopy /UGIE along with rapid urease testing for H.pylori.

The above test has great sensitivity to detect your health issue.

Further treatment largely depends on test results.

Meanwhile you can continue your prescribed medications.
