Could bedue to enlarged prostate or UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have noticed blood in your urine .

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have any other urinary symptoms like frequency.urgency, poor stream , suggestive of enlarged prostate ?
2) Are you taking blood thinners like Aspirin ?
3) Do you have burning while passing urine?

The blood in urine at this age can be either due to UTI or Enlarged prostate and has to be ruled out by following investigations.

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done under his guidance,
1) Routine urine test and urine culture
2) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.

Further treatment will be decided by him based on results of these test and final diagnosis.

In the mean while start taking broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control to wash out blood in urine .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
