What Causes Intermittent Bouts Of Agitation Inspite Of Using Eltroxin?

Question : I suffer from Hypothyroidism and am taking 75mg of Eltroxin every morning. I also take 10mg of Atorvastatin and 5mg of Amlode for BP. I get what I would describe as "intermittent" bouts of Agitation....along with hot flushes and wonder if any or all of these medications can be the problem? I am 67 (female) and am reasonably active. I don't go to the Gym but I walk (about 5km an hour speed) on my treadmill most days ....for about 2/3 miles and use stairs instead of elevators etc. However, I would say that otherwise my life is more sedentary than active. I also have what I would call an "ongoing low level infection" for literally the past few years. It manifests in Sinus and upper respitory infection and just feels as if there is something "in my system".....almost feels like I have flu like aches and pains!! Any advice please would be appreciated.....just even to point me in the right direction

Brief Answer: Its most probably due to Eltroxin. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns. 1) Your intermittent bouts of agitation can be due to Eltroxin as it is known to cause that. I will advice you to get your thyroid tests repeated so that your dosage can be modified. 2) A low level of infection needs to be fully evaluated. I will advice you to get your X-ray Lung and CT sinus for infection. Also get a cough sputum sample tested for bacteria. But this is not causing the agitation i can assure you that. 3) Also please give me your BP charting as i need to know if High BP is making you uncomfortable & agitated.
