Question : My daughter has had a cold and now is coughing and is coughing up stuff. She has been ill since November off and on with a sinus infection and colds.
Brief Answer:
Allergy.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I would recommend that she gets an X-ray chest to exclude bronchitis and a CT scan on her sinuses to exclude sinus infection in case of colored sputum. However, if the sputum is clear then this is probably due to allergy so I would recommend an antihistaminic as cetirizine or a mast cell stabilizer as singulair.
Hope I have answered your query.
