Question : My wife is suffering from intermittent fever at 104 Deg Cel with body ache, tiredness & loss of appetite. She is 48 years. We did not check her temp but when did so few mins back, was shocked to see its 102. This condition ha been there for about 5 days now. She feels better during dt while temp shoots up during night leading tiredness, lack of sleep & sweating after taking medicine for fever.
Brief Answer:
Consider QBC and Smear for MP
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
This fever could most probably be a malarial fever in my opinion as going by the symptoms of your wife.
I strongly recommend you to get a QBC and Smear for malarial parasites/MP for arriving to the diagnosis.
Meanwhile she can take antipyretic medications.
Further management would depend on the test results.
Thank you.
