Brief Answer:
Needs workup to find focus of infection for fever

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking,

I've gone through your question and I understand your concern. Fever for 5 days with intermittent nature needs further work up to find out the focus of infection. I understand how difficult can it be being away from doctor. But fever needs evaluation for cause and focus of infection. It could be a throat, sinuses, respiratory tract or urinary tract or any other focus.

You can give her Tylenol for fever meanwhile and keep recording temperature with a thermometer every 4 hours and try to find a doctor if fever is above 100 persistently or symptoms not relived , so that the doctor can examine the patient and workup accordingly and manage .

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and your daughter's and feel free to ask further.

Regards
