4. any history of constipation or diarrhea?
5. are you on any medication?
6. any history of diabetes, hypertension or other illness?
7. any family history of chronic illness?
8. any other symptom that you would like to share?
9. does pain aggravate while taking fatty meal(in specific)?
I will be looking forward for the answers to conclude the discussion in the best interest of yours.
Thank You

2. Pain does not radiate from one side to the other
3. No history of nausea, vomiting or fever
4. no history of constipation or diarrhea
5. Have been on Fosinopril HCT for high blood pressure for a number of years and blood pressure is controlled.
6. Was diagnosed with Type II diabetes, but have controlled with diet and excercise and am not on medication.
7. No family history of chronic illness
8. Does not cause a problem during the night or at least til very early in the a.m. In fact, today I had no symptoms until just before lunch time. Pain is like a spasming pain and happens several times. After I ate lunch, which did not ease the pain, I took the Gas X and pain was relieved and have nothing since.
Just seemed that if it were a virus or minor the symptoms would be going away since this has not happened until the past few days and never before.
9. Fatty meals or not does not seem to matter. I will say symptoms are better today than the past days, but still wondered if I should be concerned.
Thank you.....
Most probably Gastritis
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for getting back with the answers. Probable diagnosis from your symptoms could be Acid Peptic Disease. I would suggest you to get an appointment for a "Consultant Gastroenterologist" as he is specialized in treating these conditions. Also you would be requiring some medicines which are prescription only meds and you can get easily by visiting him. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:
> Medical Care:
- Omeprazole one daily for 14 days
- sucralfate suspension thrice a day for 10 days
> General Care:
Medical care can do NOTHING if you do not take general care about your health. Following steps would help you to recover slowly:
- take small frequent meals.
- take 30-45mins walk/exercise daily in the evening. It will make you fresh, healthy and is good for digestion.
- Don't lie down immediately after taking meal
- raise head end of your bed slightly(by an inch)
- Eat a diet rich in fiber, especially from fruits and vegetables
> AVOID:
fatty & oily food.
spices
heavy meals at night
carbonated & caffeine drinks
chocolates
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
