Question : I have pain in my side that comes and goes in the area just below my rib cage. Left side. It's an ache. Not acute but uncomfortable occasionally. It's a concern. I also have hives at the base of my throat. I overheat at night. I am 53. Male. Overweight 132kilo.

First get done ecg.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Left sided chest pain should be evaluated first for heart diseases.
So better to get done ecg first.
If ecg is normal than no need to worry for heart diseases.
You are having hives at throat and fever at night, so possibility of Upper respiratory tract infection is more.
So drink plenty of fluids orally. Start antihistamine drug. Also start anti inflammatory drugs. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
