Question : I have pain in my lower left quadrant that has persisted now for seven days, but comes and goes, when I took some Tylenol on the sixth day (twice), the pain disappeared, but has returned. it started low and has crept up to my side and back. At times, it is really debilitating mentally, but physically, my bowel movements are normal, no bleeding and I can function otherwise. The persistence of the pain is what scares me.
Brief Answer:
Possibly related to uro-genital/muscular-skeletal issues
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
The pain you are feeling in your lower left quadrant persisting for 7 days now does not seem to be related to any GI problem. My suspects go for possible:
- uro-genital issues: infection, stones, strictures, etc.
- muscular skeletal
I advise to run an abdominal ultrasound to evaluate your uro-genital tract and to run urine analysis to rule out urinary tract infection (UTI).
Meanwhile, continue taking Tylenol each time you have the pain until you run the above-mentioned tests.
All the best!
