What Causes Intermittent Pain In Parietal Region With History Of Multiple Sclerosis?

Posted on Tue, 22 Mar 2016
Question: Our past question about multiple sclerosis, 3/20/2010. I have several pages from prior. I need to adget your opinion on something that was missing from before. I had complained of intermitting mid brain pain. In 1978 it started. Felt like if you pressed your small figure in the upper scalp for about 3 to 5 seconds. Now imagine that was inside your mid brain. I was told that I had multiple sclerosis, I could not remember the name at the time. It reappeared again. And now

I have had every exam and I do receive my medicine daily. Please give me your idea of this, I was told it was in my {pons},,it has disappeared for now.

IS this my multiple sclerosis, would this be a non-vascular, intra-cranial disorder?

Ofcourse the MRIs showed small focal plaques in brain, white matter distributation pattern consistent with multiple sclerosis.

The reason for the mri was demyelinating disease symptoms for 9 to 10 years from other medical reports. 1990-1991.

Please tell me what you would say those intermitting mid brain pains are to relation to my multiple sclerosis.

And yes, over the past years it has spread, but I do medicine, injections daily.

thankyou,
doctor

Brief Answer:
Pons can be involved.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for being in follow-up.

MS is not an infective, rather a demyelinating process. Yes,Pons can be involved in MS and may result in pain.It is common in MS.This is obviously non-vascular and intracranial.

Hope that I have answered your query. If you have some further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review.

Regards
