Question : I've been having a pain in my right buttock off and on - sometimes it's difficult to walk because of the pain. If I sit down it seems okay.
Brief Answer:
Could be due to arthritis in the hip/ Lumbar spondylosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
Pain in right buttock, off and on with difficulty in walking and relieved by rest is likely to be due to hip arthritis , or lumbar spondylosis.
I would suggest pain killers, muscle relaxants and x ray of the hip and lower back. If arthritic/ spondolytic changes are present then please consult an orthopedic surgeon.
Thanx for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
