What Causes Intermittent Pain In The Scrotum?

default
Posted on Thu, 6 Oct 2016
Question: I have a pain in my scortum last 2 to 3 days. It comes and goes and it is not consistent. I had the pain in the evening and it is gone by morning.

I touched the testicles there is no pain and it is not swollen or saggy. There is no pain while coughing or jumping. The pain is more near the groin. I am not sure what is causing it. Anything to worry?

Brief Answer:
Could be due to inflamation of Spermatic cord (Funiculitis )

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted the pain in testicle more specific near the groin is most likely to be due to inflammation of spermatic cord or Varicocele .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Ultrasound scanning and Color Doppler study of scrotum.

In the meanwhile start taking anti inflammatory medicine like Diclofenac twice daily .
Ensure to drink more water

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
