Brief Answer:
Give him some analgesic(ibuprofen syrup) and some antireflux

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I can understand your concern. The non explainable crying can be due to discomfort caused by accidental introduction of water into the ear canal, unnoticed bite by any insect, reflux or nonspecific pain/colic.Sometimes mood changes also causes irritability in the baby.
I would like to give some analgesic(like paracetamol drop or ibuprofen syrup)to take care of discomfort caused by any pain and some acid reducing agent like lansoprazole or esomeprazole for reflux.
Carrying the baby, cuddling and soothing may also be helpful.
I won't get worried if the cry is not persistent(there is pause between the crying episodes),there is no fever, breathing problem or any abdominal upset.

I hope this information will be helpful for you.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Regards
