Brief Answer:
Do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. The most likely reason for these symptoms in a toddler is viral gastroenteritis. It's a self limiting condition and it resolves within a few days with symptomatic management.

Sometimes it can be due to parasitic infestation of gut which may need definitive treatment.
So, I would recommend you the following:
1. Stool routine and microscopic examination to rule out ova and cysts. You may upload the report for my reference.
2. Ensure regular feeds and plenty of fluids to maintain hydration. Avoid excessive intake of sweet juices and sugars.
3. Start a probiotic such as enterogermina twice daily for next 5 days to replenish healthy gut flora.
4. A zinc supplement such as Syp ZnD or Zinconia will be useful for recovery and further immunity against similar episodes. We recommend 20 mg once daily for 14 days.
5. Syp. Ondansetrone or Domperidone can be given for repeated vomiting. Also, start antacids such as Ranitidine for associated gastritis which may be the reason for his occasional vomiting spells.

Hopefully it will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.

Take care
