Brief Answer:
stress/fever.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having post operative shivering.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be anesthetic complication or due to psychological stress or fever due to infection.

As such, peri-lyphatic fistula closure surgery will have vertigo initially, it takes time to resolve with time.

I assume, you are already on antibiotics and pain killers, please continue. If not, please discuss with your treating doctor.

Don't panic. Kindly discuss with your treating doctor for local examination and to rule out other causes.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health

Thank you so much dr Siddigh! I was not given an antibiotic only given ibuprofen and a patch behind my right ear at time of left ear fistulas repair in same day surgery discharge! I had a severe allergic reaction to the patch since I told them I am highly allergic to adhesive & latex! I did not know it was there till I scratched it off! The sight where the patch was is now healing from the bubbly blisters & bleeding! This patch gave me deep seated audio edema in my ear nose throuat & eyes! I also have Hashimoto Hypothyriodism which is probably switched to the hyper side since I am shaking a lot too when awake! I also have been diagnosed with fibromoralgia, ulcer, GERD, take dexalant 60 mg a dayfor that! Hypoglycemia, have meter to keep that in check! It is Sunday unfortunately for me! My temp is 95.3! Second time it was 97.2. Third time 97.2! So it is not a fever thank the good Lord! I am sensitive to the steroids which was put in my ear during surgery! In the past was mis diagnosed with COPD and given to high a dose of prednazone for a third time within a Three to four week period back in 12/2013 - 1/2014! I could not sleep for two weeks after stopping the Prednasone going from 60 mgs & then 20mg & then none! Was cleared by pulmonologist no COPD of emphazima! I am still so dizzy & nauscious & very weak since these fistulas were probable caused my intense coughing from broncitus from 12/13 - 03/14! I had a temporal bone fistula as wall as a coccilia fistula! But originall finally went to ENT For a depressed right ear drum & a dis functional rt ear eustation tube! I am a mess! Still stumbling around but not as bad as before but the nausea is awful! I have been like this mis diagnosed since I think around 02/14! The waking with internal shivering really scares me! My fistula surgery was on 01/15/15! The surgeon is away on conference till this coming Wednesday! I will call my hometown ENT TOMORROW if I can stand the nausea till then. I am now taking meclazine three times a day which helps a little! I do have severe anxiety from all this and have been diagnosed with PTSD! I take Zoloft 125 mg per day & I take klonopin.5 mg twice a day! What if it is anesthetic complication? Should I go to ER? The docs around here do not do this type of surgery! I had mine done down in NYC at Mt Sinai with Dr Chandrasekher! Thank you in advance for your help!

I also have chronic rhinitis using fluticasone Propionate once a day but it hardly helps!

Also having eye issues with goopy discharge & headaches! OMG! Couch up clear but some tiles yellowish goop also!
