What Causes Internal Lump Near Scrotum?

Possible infective cause, please consult doctor immediately
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. If you are having a painful lump between the scrotum and inner thigh since few days and which is not involving the testis then it is possible that you have an infection in the region causing lymph node enlargement in the deep inguinal group.
2. It might also be a thickening of the spermatic cord which is called funiculitis and is due to infection.
3. Less likely, if the lump is not painful or occasionally painful and is more felt on standing and doing heavy physical work or coughing then it can be a small inguinal hernia.
4. It is unlikely to be a STD as you have rightly said.
5. Ibuprofen is a non steroidal pain relief medicine and will reduce your pain and make you comfortable for some time. However making an exact diagnosis is important keeping your symptoms in mind and I suggest that you immediately consult the surgeon or urologist and if required please get an ultrasound scan of the scrotum done to confirm diagnosis and get treatment.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek

Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. The area where you are pointing is the groin and lymph nodes or a thickened cord might be felt there.
2. Amoxicillin is an antibiotic which works in many mild infections. It is to be taken as 500 mg three times daily for 5 days after consulting your doctor.
3. Please avoid wearing tight inner clothes and jeans to reduce discomfort.
