Brief Answer:
Hormone disturbance

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Irregular periods can be due to hormonal disturbance or local lesions in the vagina or cervix. I don't suspect there is a possibility of infection here.
If the examination and investigations done by your OBGYN specialist has revealed no abnormalities, then it is most likely the hormonal changes.
Cyclical progesterone or oral contraceptives will resolve and treat the situation.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Brief Answer:
Investigations required

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thyroid hormone levels, prolactin levels and an internal examination to rule out any local lesions in the vagina or cervix should be done to confirm the diagnosis.
