Brief Answer:
Due to hormonal imbalance

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
You seem to have hormonal imbalance which is causing the irregular periods.
Please consult a gynecologist and have evaluation along the following lines -
1. Pelvic ultrasound to evaluate the uterus and ovaries-b This appears to be normal in your case.
2. Hormonal profile - FSH, LH, TSH, Serum prolactin, adrenal hormones.
3. Complete blood count, liver and renal profile tests, glucose tolerance test.
Common causes of irregular cycles are - anxiety, stress, emotional turbulence, hectic travelling, recent changes in weight, ingestion of hormonal medications or medications that alter the menstrual cycle etc.
Polycystic ovaries, hypothyroidism and endometrial pathologies also could cause such a picture.
Sometimes, premature ovarian ageing could lead to such irregularities.
The above suggested workup would point towards a specific cause for your problems.
Meanwhile, make sure you have an ideal BMI ( exercise regularly and eat healthy ), and that you are stress free.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.

The doctor was very conservative in disclosing the test result. All i heard ge said was something like "excess sodoum" because i had undergone all the thyroid function and hormonal test including body sugar tests which he confirmed to be okay then he advised i cut down on my weight which im acutely working on now and achieving sone significant results he placed me on such medications like: bromergon Oflofox and two other medications which their names are ot indicated on the leaflet. Thanks

Brief Answer:
Losing weight will help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
It is difficult to comment about the diagnosis and treatment without proper reports and without the complete names of medicines.
Excessive sodium is not likely to cause the irregular periods. It is correct that losing some extra weight will help in correcting the hormonal imbalance. You can also take oral contraceptive pills for a few cycles to have regular cycles and to correct the problem.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Well I've lost a significant amount of weight. Fatter women are menstruating regularly why not me?..the drugs I was given are offloflox and Bromergon. Those were the drugs given. I've been taking the drugs yet my period is yet to regularize itself. Is there any alternative pill I can go on?..my body feels so alright. Tummy no pains and my breasts are light and not heavy. I have some slight menses like symptoms yet no menstruation. What should I take?

Brief Answer:
Bromergon is for increased prolactin.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Only excessive weight is not the single cause for irregular periods. There are other factors also that contribute to this problem. Bromergon is given in case of increased prolactin levels. Effiflox is an antibiotic given to combat any infection. You need hormonal tablets like oral contraceptive pills on monthly basis to regularize your periods. Do consult a gynecologist for proper prescriptions.
Alternatively taking Norethisterone for 5-7 days can help you in having a withdrawal bleeding. The weight loss will help in maintaining the regular cycles in the long term. Please do not worry.

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Withdrawal bleeding is a bleeding like we have during menstruation but it is induced with the help of medicines. This will not affect your ability to perform the biological functions. Rather the delay in periods and the hormonal imbalance will cause a difficulty in conception as such an imbalance causes difficulty in release of eggs from the ovaries.
You can discuss further in case there are any more clarifications needed.
Regards.

Hnnn what will be the effect of having a pseudo menses?..will this withdrawal bleeding correct the irregularity in menstrual cycle?...what exact effect will it have on my condition?..I was hoping you guys recommend certain drugs that could help out in correcting the situation. I'm yet to comprehend the relevance of pseudo menses aka withdrawal bleeding to my situation?..
I mean bleeding without releasing eggs is not effective. Are there
Useful drugs that can be suggested so I could tell my physician and he checks for its efficacy since the ones he placed me on are not exactly working. Thanks. If its news worthy I once had a bout of irregular periods at the age of 15 in 1997. My physician then placed me on a drug called gynaecosid and within 3 days my period came out balanced up and I had no issues with my period until August 2013. Pls help me in anyway possible to combat this issue. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Gynecosid can help you now also.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Pseudo menses or withdrawal bleeding will help in setting up the normal rhythm. You can start with oral contraceptive pills from day 5 after your periods and continue it for 3-4 cycles so that your normal cyclic rhythm is restored. This is a way of regularizing the cycles.
Once you are ready for planning a baby then if the periods are still irregular then ovulation inducing drugs help in releasing the egg from the ovary and help in conception.
You can also take Gynecosid to bring your periods again.

Brief Answer:
Use Ovral-L.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
You can use a low dose oral pill like Ovral-L or Femilon or Novelon. These will help in regularizing your periods with minimal side effects. You can start taking the pill from Day 5 considering the day your bleeding starts as day 1.
