Question : Hi. My daughter has been taking tirosint for the past 2 months and is experiencing irritability and emotional outbursts. I see that these are side effects of this medication. Can you suggest another one similar to tirosint. My daughter cannot take any thyroid meds that are synthetic.

Hello. Armour thyroid is a nonsynthetic mix of T3 ad T4.

That said, she needs to have her TSH level checked since she may be hyperthryoid from too high a dose of the tirosint.
