Brief Answer:
vaginitis + mixed vaginosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The presence of irritation and inflammation in vagina especially before an after your menses indicate that you are suffering from vaginitis and possible mixed vaginosis ( fungal and bacterial infection). You need to get a high vaginal swab culture to establish and identify causative organism and then have to be started on a course of oral and vaginal antifungals with antibiotics.
You may take :-
1. CLINGEN VAGINAL PESSARY X PER VAGINALLY X HS ( at night) x 6 DAYS.
2. TAB FLUCONAZOLE 300mg once a week x 3weeks.
3. Tab Oflox-OZ x 1-0-1 x 7 days ( antibiotics).
You may get them prescribed by your local physician or gynecologist.
The infection is usually inter-transmissible between couples and hence both should be treated together.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, its a sterile swab test, where a sterile swab stick shall be inserted in your vaginal canal during a per speculum exam by your gynecologist and then it shall be sent for culture and sensitivity testing to lab , to identify th e causative organisms. You have to meet your gynecologist anyhow.
