Question : I am 24 years old and I have irritated red skin on the top of my meatus. It's very sensitive when it rubs against my underwear. I've only had protected sex within the past year and I don't know what the problem is

Brief Answer:
Avoid band-aid.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Audreydrummond and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, let me advise you, to see an Urologist or a Dermatologist,
at the earliest and take off the band-aid quickly.
Just keep a clean handkerchief there, till you see a doctor.
You may use Neosporin eye ointment over that area, till you see a specialist.
It'll take a few days to a week atleast, for it to heal.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
