DNS needs surgical correction
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Your recurrent cough episodes, bad taste and smell , throat discomforts and recent flares are all attributed to your anatomical issue of deviated nasal septum. Get that surgically corrected by sub mucosal resection and septoplasty and the symptoms will improve. Supportive remedies like decongestants, anti histamines, saline irrigations etc alone wont work for logn and such symptoms will keep recurring. So its better to consult an otorhinolaryngologist and let them plan surgery for this DNS.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

DNS, needs surgery
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getitng back to me
I have undergone through your report and the answer is still the same. Its deviated nasal septum and should be undergone through surgery if symptoms are severe and recurrent. You can have it under local anesthesia as well. its a very benign procedure and should be opted for to resolve symptoms.

Supportive care till full recovery
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me
With surgery done only 20 days back, i would say its too early to comment on failure. As it takes a few weeks to months for the inflammation to heal and subside and nasal mucosa get used to this septoplasty procedure. So just continue with supportive care till then and the symptoms will start improving in a couple of months. These symptoms are due to associated sinuses involvement as well. Decongestants use, nasal corticosteroids, saline nasal irrigation and warm comforting beverages and fluids will help the symptoms.
I hope it helps.
