Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query.

I would like to know more from you regarding the query in order to be able to guide you better.

-How long since you have itching?
-Are there any skin lesions? If Yes, kindly upload a photograph of the lesions
-Does any other member in the family/close contacts is having the same problem?

Ascabiol is a scabicidal (benzyl benzoate emulsion) which is given for scabies, however, it is not first line treatment and is messy to use. Moreover it requires multiple applications.
Dermatologists commonly prescribe permethrin 5% cream/lotion for suspected or confirmed scabies.
Single overnight whole body application of 5% permethrin is usually sufficient for scabies.
It is important to treat other family members as well, simultaneously.

Brief Answer:
Permethrin; visit a dermatologist for prescription

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to apply 5% permethrin instead of benzoyl benzoate (ascabiol).
5 % pemethrin has a higher cure rate. It requires just a single whole body application, from neck downwards, should be kept overnight for at least 8 hours, followed by bath on the following day.
Since it is ovicidal as well, therefore there is no need for a repeat application unlike benzoyl benzoate.
5% pemethrin is a prescription product and I would suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist in your region.
An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10 mg once daily would provide you symptomatic relief from itching.
After you apply permethrin, wash all your clothes, towels, bedsheet etc before reusing them as the mite that causes scabies may reinfect if it is left over in the clothing's.

Brief Answer:
Kindly visit nearby dermatologist for prescription

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

It would be unethical on my part to prescribe you the brand names of the medicines on internet, because actually I have not had the opportunity to examine you.
My job here is to give you treatment options and give you pointers in the right directions, so that you are benefited from the information I provide.
A visual assessment is the best way to judge before we can prescribe medicines.
A dermatologist in your region would be able to examine you in person and would be in a better position to prescribe you the brand names

Regards
Take care
