Brief Answer:
Could be due to Chronic Non Bacterial Prostatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have Chronic Non Bacterial Prostatitis.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have pain in perineum or around anus ?
2) Do you have painful ejaculation ?
3) Have you done semen examination and semen culture ?
4) Was your urine culture done and antibiotics were prescribed as per culture report?

In view of poor response to multiple courses of antibiotics taken over a period of last 8 months and no positive evidence of infection detected on laboratory tests I think your symptoms are likely be due to what is called as Chronic Non Bacterial Prostatitis .

I would suggest you to discuss with your Urologist to get following tests done if not carried out so far .
1) Trans Rectal Ultrasound scanning (TRUS)
2) Semen examination and semen culture
3) Swab test of a urethral discharge from urethra after doing prostate massage

Doing prostate massage daily by a closed relative in your family does help to relieve symptoms in Chronic Prostatitis .Please discuss this modality of treatment with your urologist which I have been practicing in my patients of chronic Prostatitis since last 30 years and getting satisfactory results .

The symptoms that you have could have have been triggered from your wife who has Chronic Cervicitis.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
Get the tests done suggested in my earlier reply.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up. It is possible thet you have acquired this from your wife through sexual contact .

Please get tests done which I have suggested in my reply earlier. These tests are vital important to establish a definite diagnosis .

In the mean while take Doxicycline twice daily along with anti inflammatory medicines like Diclofenac twice daily You will need to take antibiotics for a month.

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.

Thanks and Regards.
