What Causes Itching And Redness Of Anal Wart After Applying Apple Cider Vinegar?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 May 2014
Question: Hi i had an anal wart , i was on homeopathic treatment , i am going abroad in 1st week of may , so i wanted to be completely free of warts , i used apple cider vinegar for two days , i was taking a bath when my wart started itching , i scratched it off , that area now is all red and scary .
which cream should i apply now to avoid infection ?

please tell me some cream for it ? so that the area is free from infection.

I know the picture might be a little irritating and i have never done this , i am leaving for USA in the 1st week of may and therefore i just need some cream that can keep that area safe from infection , i can go for any other treatment when i am back to my country. The apple cider vinegar has burned it i think as it is an acid and then i scratched it off.

what do i do ? :(

Brief Answer:
Secondary infection has developed , use antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same .
I have seen the attached picture.
You had initially developed an anal wart.
Application of vinegar is a known home remedy for this problem but in some people it can cause excessive irritation and further infection.
The lesion seems to be infected in your case , owing to the area which is very prone to secondary infections.
You need to keep the affected area clean and dry.
Wash it twice a day with a mild soap and water followed by application of a topical antibiotic cream like mupirocin or neosporin twice a day.
Wear cotton undergarments so as to decrease sweating.
Once the infection heals up completely and the area heals, you can take treatment for anal warts.

Hope it helps

Thanks a lot Dr.

For how many days do i have to keep on using the neosporin?

Anything that i should carry along with me when i am in US ?

usually when i come out of the washroom after taking a bath , i use hair dryer to keep the skin dry !!

can i also use some kind of oil there too ?
I have heard that coconut oil decreases the warts.

Brief Answer:
Medicine usage

Detailed Answer:
Hi again
You might have to apply neosporin twice a day for five to seven days or till the time the skin wounds heal up completely.
It is good to keep the affected area as much dry as possible since it will promote healing.
Do not apply any kind of oil or any other creams over it.
