Question : I have a 3 inch by 2 inch rash in the middle of the chest with tingling, itching and a little pain set of
blisters and am treating that with Triamcinolone Acetonide. I don't think it is shingles, but cant tell and
it is no where else on the body?

Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it could be either insect bite hypersensitivity reaction, contact dermatitis or shingles but I would recommend you to upload the photographs of the affected areas so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.

Brief Answer:
Not looking shingles, either contact dermatitis or insect bite reaction
Detailed Answer:
Sorry for the delayed answer.
I have reviewed the attached photograph though it is not very clear.
It seems to be either contact dermatitis or insect bite hypersensitivity reaction.
It is not looking like shingles.
I would recommend you to continue applying triamcinolone acetonide cream twice daily for atleast 7-10 days.
Besides this I would recommend you to take antihistaminic like tablet Chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg twice daily.
