Question : I am 20 years old and have had two children. After having my second I have noticed an increase I'm itching between my labia majora and labia minora. I think I tore and they didn't properly stitch me back. It is an unbearable itch that is almost always there. Sometimes it gets rather dry, inflamed and even has a different smell. I've scratched it to the point that it is bleeding. I've tried rephresh , I have also been checked for disease's and infections and neither are present. Could somebody give me tips on what to do and if there is a way that I could get this fixed by my insurance sense it is posing a problem with my everyday living.

Brief Answer:
precautions advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, I understand your problem.
It is just a mild infection which has been worsened by repeated itching.
Just follow these tips
- wear a cotton based underwear and change it regularly
- always use vagisil wash after bath
- put clotrimazole vaginal pessary 100 mg at night for 6 days
- take tablet cetrizine twice a day 10 mg
- take tablet secnidazole 2 grams once only (no second dose needed). This is a prescription drug.
- take lot of curd as it will provide good bacteria to your body
- apply candestan powder on affected area twice a day
- drink a lot of water
- always wash your perineal area after using the loo.
- always use condom while having sex.
I hope above measures will help you but in case there is no improvement or it deteriorates further then visit your gynecologist.
All the best.
