Question : Hello Dr. Sumra. I thought you'd be interested to know that the strange itching in my wife's lower gum has stopped since the removal of the stitches from the extraction of her upper tooth on the last day of the amoxicillin! Yet she had no itching on the upper area of the extraction at all. Only on the lower gum.
It sounds rather strange to us.

Thanks for information.

Its really uncommon finding as you told that itching ended on suture removal in upper jaw.One possible reason for this can be physical trauma or some allergy in lower jaw due to sutures in upper jaw.
Its nice to hear that it has resolved now.
Anyhow you should do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day for better healing & visit your dentist for follow up.
