Brief Answer:
Possibly related to a group of local allergic reactions

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at Healthcaremagic.

I carefully read your question and understand your concern.

There are few causes of itchy palms and a very crucial information is if there is itchyness in other areas of the skin (body, arms, legs, face) and if there is someone else at home having similar condition.

If the problem is only localized in the palms of the hands and no other people at home with similar symptoms than very likely this is not an infectious disease and rule out many diagnosis that can be considered. If you have lesions on the other parts of the body and/or someone else at home has similar lesions than infectious disease should be strongly considered and ruled out.

So the most likely cause of the rash in your case might be in the group of allergies (eczema, atopic dermatitis, food allergy, contact dermatitis, etc). Almost all of them do better with the following:
1. avoid contact with things that might be possibly causing the symptoms
2. keep hands moisturised 1-2 a day with a moisturizing cream
3. steroid cream like betamethasone or advantan might be good first choice of hands- use it on the palms twice a day and make sure you do not wash them in the next hour so the cream can be absorbed well.

If no improvement with the above treatment you will need to speak again with your doctor to check for other very rare causes of itchy hands.

I wish this is helpful and answers to your question but please feel free to reply in case more clarification is needed on this.

Kind Regards,
