Brief Answer:
Fungal infection likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The itching can be due to an yeast infection and this can be ruled out only be performing a detailed examination.
This typically presents with the symptoms that you have described. This can be treated with antifungal angents like miconazole. You can use a vaginal pessary like Gyno Daktarin once a day for 2 weeks. Please follow the instructions on the package carefully.
It is also important to keep your private parts scrupulously clean. Trimming your pubic hair, not using any soap to wash your vagina and keeping the area clean and dry will help.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

i do trim my hair, use v-Wash twice a day to clean my parts, also change my inners twice a day. i shall use miconazole and Gyno Daktarin as suggested by you. but i need to say that today though i felt the itch for an hour in the morning, but now i am fine with no itch and all this without taking Alerid or candid V cream or Urinspas. thanks a lot for helping me understand what could have happened. i was panicking a lot coz its been almost 9 days i m suffering of the itch and irritation, though gradually the intensity has been decreasing but has been really slow.

Brief Answer:
Fungal infections can be recurrent.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
It is good that the symptoms are decreasing. Do consult your gynecologist for a direct examination in case the problem is recurrent.
Hope my answer is helpful.

you are right Dr., they are recurrent, in my case once in a year i do get slight symptoms, but not worse as what i got in 2012, the first time, where i started bleeding with urination, and it was extremely painful. i got a full scan done, got a physical examination done too, and thats when i got to know that i am prone to Yeast infection. at present m taking Glycophage -Sr 1 Gm every night for pcod symptoms and acucal every morning for Vit D3 deficiency. hope these medicines are not causing any trouble. Thank you once again.

and i am also on thyronorm 25 Mcg since 3 years now.

Brief Answer:
Not related to all these medicines.

Detailed Answer:
All these medicines are safe and are not responsible for the infection that you have. Do continue with these and get a vaginal swab culture done to find out the antibiotic best suitable for you.
Regards.
