Itching in the highly vascular areas like eye lids and cheeks could be secondary to a allergic reaction.

Do take a dose of Benadryl and apply moisturizer over the affected skin. This will provide you relief. if the symptoms do not subside, do get yourself examined as it could be a sign of fungal infection.
