What Causes Itching On Penis With Black Spots On Foreskin?

default
Posted on Wed, 17 Sep 2014
Question: Hi,
A few weeks ago, I noticed that my scrotum was really itchy. Then a week later, my foreskin and part of the glans were itchy as well(usually in the shower or when in bed). Then a days ago, I noticed some pimple like bumps on my skin of the shaft and foreskin. There used to be just 2 or so and now there's about 10, and there seem to be something blackheads on top of the bumps. It used to feel mildly itchy but now I feel some pain. There also seems to be lumps on the left side of my scrotum. I was scratching it one night and then I saw there were lumps that are like swollen scrotum skin. It used to itchy but now its painful when I put my legs together when it touches the spot. The pain feels as if someone is putting a needle at the spot. Another thing I noticed is that my lymph nodes(or I think it is) hurts when I press down on it. This happened before I got the bumps on penis and scrotum. I've never had sex before. What could this be? Thanks!I also noticed the same pimple like bumps at the base of my pubic hair(this is itchy). Also, I feel really uncomfortable since this morning when walking because of the pain on the scrotum. Now the bumps on my scrotum and my skin on shaft hurt without touching it(not as much but still uncomfortable)

Brief Answer:
History is suggestive of infective pathology.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Itching on scrotum, black colored spots a the base of hair roots, swelling of scrotum and lymph node enlargement suggest an infectious pathology.
Presence of black spots at the base of hair roots could be due to follculitis.
Folliculitis is infection and inflammation of the hair roots.
Infection can cause enlargement of lymph nodes.
However, a clinical assessment is mandatory.
It would be more informative if you post an image of the lesion.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Skin related disease or folliculitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
I am afraid the pictures are not very clear, however, I can appreciate multiple red-pink nodules on the external genitalia.
In the absence of sexual contact, sexually transmitted diseases are ruled out.
Itchy lesions can be seen in fungal infection.
However, fungal infection is usually accompanied by discharge.
Thus, I suspect a skin related disorder i.e. pathology arising in the skin of external genitalia or folliculitis.
I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist for further assessment and management.

Thanks and take care
