Question : I have itching on my fingers of my left hand that I can't seem to relive by scratching that seems to be nerve related. I have taken ibuprofan it relivies the itching for a short time but it is back and I can't get any relief . I am really at my wits end as what to do to get any relief. Can you suggest any tricks to help this situation YYYY@YYYY

Itching can be neuropathically related - you are right. And it is can be maddening.

I don't know what the underlying problem is that is causing your left hand to itch, but if you have been evaluated by your doctor and there is no medically apparent reason for the itching, you may want to see a dermatologist or neurologist to consider using a medication called gabapentin. This medication can help itching that may be stemming from pain receptors. So consider talking with your doctor about looking into this further. Or make an appointment with a dermatologist.
