Question : Hi, I had very itchy upper thighs then a day or two after that massive bruising where the itching was, what might this be from and is there any way to treat it?
I have no known allergies to any medication nor am i allergic to any food. I did do a very intense workout a couple of days before this happened and my thighs especially hurt, i dont know if that is relevant or not. The bruises seem slightly raised on my skin and are slightly painful to touch.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to Healthcaremagic,
It seems to be the allergic contact dermatitis from your description.
It can occur with your tight clothing and itching has provoked this.
The other differential is Tinea cruris.
I need a clear photograph to diagnose the condition.
There is a feature to upload the image by yourself on the right side of this query page. You may utilize that. Alternatively, you can mail it to YYYY@YYYY with subject line as "ATTN: Dr. Shahid Hassan". I will review the photograph and get back to you.
Thanks

I sent the photos, my wifi cut out so I sent them again so if you got them twice I apologize. Also, sorry about the awkward angle, the bruising is very near the groin area. There is one bruise on each leg, front of the thigh, very high up.
I appreciate all your help

Hi,
welcome again,
Thanks for sending us photographs.
These are the lesion of Allergic contact dermatitis.
Have you applied any cream(especially potent steroid)? as striae are visible in the lesion. Although striae can also occur with rapid increase of decrease in weight or increased ACTH level.
The other differential is tinea cruris.
Thanks

I applied a mild cream that I use for mild eczema or irritations, but I am very sure that the striae were therr before that. One of the bruises has become a darker purple in the last day, is there anything you would recommend that I do in the meantime?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome again,
If striae was there before application of cream then it may be due to some hormonal effect.
Check for the composition of cream you apply for eczema, whether it contains steroid or not.
Apply emollient 2-3 times a day.
Thanks
