Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us.
I have taken note of your query and I have understood it.
You seem to have developed candidal/ yeast infection of glans and foreskin i.e candidal balanoposthitis. It usually presents with edema of prepuce making it difficult to retract and fissuring/ cracking all around the prepucial opening. There will redness of glans and deposition of whitish, creamy material under prepuce.
Patients usually complain of itching and pain on retraction of prepuce.
Candidal balanoposthitis may be acquired sexually from a sexual partner with candidal/ yeast infection of the vulva though it is not considered as an STD.
I treat my patients of candidal balanoposthitis with a Single dose of Fluconazole tablet. A single dose is usually curative.
In addition I also suggest my patients to apply an otc topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole 1% cream Or miconazole 2%cream, twice daily for a week.
I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for a confirmatory diagnosis and for the needful.
Regards
