Brief Answer:
Anti-histamines and local moisturizer lotion

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and saw the image that you have attached.

I would like to make suggestions to you as follows:

1. Were I treating you, I would prescribe you ONLY antihistamines to control itching.

I would suggest you levocetirizine or fexofenadine in morning and hydroxyzine before going to bed (as hydroxyzine causes sedation). They will reduce your itching.

2. As all redness in legs is gone and the redness over hip area (the image) does not suggest any active infection, I would not suggest you any antibiotics or antifungal or antiparasite - oral or ointment. In my opinion, they may be unnecessary.

3. I would think of your residual itching more due to dryness of the parts, for that I would suggest you to apply coconut oil or moisturizing lotion over itchy parts without rubbing. Please apply them immediately after bath so that it will retain moisture in the skin.

4. Please do not scratch/rub the itchy parts. It will only aggravate itching.

5. Please do not allow contact of synthetic/woolen clothes to the itchy areas. Please avoid tight-fitting clothes. Loose-fitting, cotton clothes would be best in my opinion until you have itching.

I would like to know what kind of insect bite it was that caused such a prolonged reaction.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you. Please consult your doctor before making changes in your treatment.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask on follow-up. It will be my humble pleasure to help you with best of my knowledge and experience.

Wish you the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards,

hi doc, thanks for helping me out. the insect I could not notice bez it happened while I was sleeping. its on my right leg only and only one leg was infected. sorry for the confusion. the iching sensations are not going and in the hip area I guess due to rubbing this is increasing. I ll try to avoid that but it is not coming down. I m not able to concentrate on anything.
