Question : I have itching on my outer skin in my vaginal area. no discharge no pain no odor. hair in area graying and thinning. What is this. Not sexually active for a long time.

Hi,

I can understand your concerns.

Itching in vaginal area at 62 is most commonly due to hormonal deficiency.
The estrogen hormone deficiency causes thinning of the vaginal skin and itching.
You can apply estrogen cream locally at the area.

Also with age fungal infection becomes more common due to decreased immunity and hormone deficiency.

Since you have no discharge or odor it is mostly hormone deficiency and not infection.

Also graying hair and thinning due to age.

I feel the estrogen local cream will suffice. You need to apply it for a few weeks at least before healing effects occur.
