                                    Brief Answer:
Possibly tinea (fungal) infection of the skin...need to see the photo...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Can you send a photo of the red mark you have on your penis shaft and inside of your groin?
Can you please refer for how long have you had that? What medications have you been using so far?
From what you are having, it might be related to jock itch or tinea skin infection. However, I need to have the requested picture before running into final conclusions!
Thank you!

these are the photos you have asked for. i have had the condition for just over a week now. I have used starting today a cream called lotrimin ultra which I found in the cubboard for inching. i also have a cream called cortisone if that is any good. but until today i have just been applying lubriderm lotion. I am a student athlete at university so I am working out and training alot, and therefore sweety. also my room mate had the same conditions on his belly button and penis sharft before he left for Christmas break, he is not back yet but I used his towel for the first day back, last week, as I had no towel and think this is where I got it from.

                                    Brief Answer:
Jock itch noted, continue lotrimin and good local hygiene...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
I have gone through the photos you sent in, and I admit that the quality of the photos was not good.
From what I've seen, it seems to be jock itch (fungal infection of the skin) as you report:
- to be an athlete
- shared towels with your mate who had the same problems prior to you.
Continue taking lotrimin ultra cream locally for at least 2 weeks. Depending on improvement, will judge if you need to extend dosage for a few more days.
Keep a good local hygiene: wash with warm water and soap. Dry it well, Then apply the cream twice daily for 2 weeks. If no improvement within the first week, should start taking anti-fungal shampoo you find over the counter containing clotrimazole or ketoconazole.
Wish fast recovery! Let me know how it goes!
