Question : Hi.. My mom has two smooth circles side by side on her upper thigh.. They itch.. And they are purple in color...

I have gone through our query. Your mother's problem can be most likely fungal infection- Tinea corporis. If you send a picture of it then it will be more helpful. Using hydrocortisone alone can worsen this. For this you can use antifungal ointments like miconazole (daktarin) or Terinafine (Lamisil) for local application. These are available over the counter.
